Involvement in religious or spiritual activities has the potential to largely impact your physical and mental health and at this time of the year I feel compelled to share my faith with you.
I've been going to church since I was a baby. The church nursery, Sunday school programs, children's choir, youth group and summer church camp were all important parts of my life. Through all of these programs and in adulthood I've learned several important life lessons through my faith. They're so plentiful that I'll just summarize some of the top lessons in bullet points like I would if I were giving you my top ten ways to be healthy for the holidays ;) - humans are inherently evil (I know this goes against the normal thinking) - we are all valuable (yep- every human has value because of their creator no matter what they've done or where they're from) - we are loved by God so much so that he sent his only son, Jesus to be our Savior (yep- it's the reason I celebrate the Christmas sesason!) - If you have Christ as your Savior you have eternal life! We all sin which separates us from God but Jesus provided payment for our sin through his death. When you die with Christ as your Savior you get to spend eternity with Him! The list of things I've learned through my faith in Christ could go on and on. Have questions about any of this? I may or may not know the answer but I'll know someone who does and would happily point you in the right direction to get your questions answered. What role has faith played in your life? I'd love to hear about it even if your experience has been different from mine. Have a Merry Christmas!
