Halloween is this week and if you have little kids in your house this means a TON of candy is coming into your house. You may also have extra candy at your house because you won't have as many kids trick-or-treating at your house as expected. So how do you get rid of it so you and your kids don't end up eating all of it? Well I've got some ideas-
1. Halloween Candy Buy Back - support our troops while getting rid of the extra candy around the house.
2. Give it to those in need around your community- you can call local shelters, food pantries or nursing homes to see if they would accept your candy.
3. Switch it out- give your kids a toy, book, game etc. in exchange for their Halloween candy
4. Trash can- although some may consider this option wasteful, if you save a few pieces of candy and throw the rest out it you'll be making a great decision for your health.
Instead of keeping all that candy around creating temptation and opportunity for empty calorie consumption, get rid of it! I'd love to hear how you get rid of your Halloween candy.
